Union County Museum

117 South Appleknocker Street, Cobden, Illinois

Regular Museum Hours:  Saturday and Sunday, 1:00-5:00 p.m.


Current Exhibit:  Celebrating the 100th birthday of President John F. Kennedy.  Runs through July 30

Friday and Saturday, August 4 and 5: Cobden Peach Festival. The Museum and Shop will conduct extended hours: 8a.m.-6p.m. on both days.


Monday, August 21: Day of solar eclipse.  The Museum and Shop will conduct extended hours: to be announced.


Saturday, October 7: Fall Community Yard Sale Day. The Museum and Shop will conduct extended hours: 8a.m.-5p.m.

Saturday, October 7: Union County Colorfest (tentative date).


Annual Christmas Shop for the benefit of the Union County Museum: Nov. 18 to Dec. 16.


Saturday, December 2: Christmas in the Village.

All Events at the Union County Museum are free and open to the public.  No Admission charge.

The General Store is usually in operation when the museum is normally open.  This depends on if we have enough volunteers to open both the museum and the store.  Otherwise please use the above dates for official openings of the General Store.
