We are located at 117 S. Appleknocker, Cobden, IL
The museum’s hours will vary through the year. Please check the calendar for current hours. We are located on the west side of town, next to the post office. Cobden is located west of State Highway Route 51 and sixteen miles south of Carbondale, Illinois. Cobden is in the heart of Union County wine country (Shawnee Hills Wine Trail) and hosts several unique shops/businesses in the downtown area.
Special openings and tours can be arranged (the museum can handle small groups of up to 20 - 30 adults). School groups are also welcomed but recommended age for children is 10 and up. The museum closes for the winter in mid-December, January and February (but special opening arrangements can be made). We re-open the first Saturday in March. Admission to the museum is free, but donations are accepted.
